In the past India also faced so many cyclones but Tauktae is larger as compared to all others. The wind speed in tauktae cyclone is more than 150 km/hour. Tauktae takes so many human lives and destroyed houses of the many peoples.

In the last few years are the number of cyclones from the Arabian sea is increased. This is not a good sign for India because if this has happened then tauktae is the smaller Cyclone. In the future, we will see more cyclones larger than tauktae 2021.

There are so many reasons behind cyclone creation. The most common and correct reason for the Cyclone is global warming. The temperature of the sea beach continuously increasing. This is the main reason behind cyclones. Actually peoples and government both forget they continuously try to challenge nature in the name of development.

In recent time, we have seen most of the country working or complete development in sea site. They created Hotels, Homes, Societies, etc. For this reason, the temperature of the sea level continuously increases.

To Form a cyclone, warm moist air over the ocean rises upward from near the surface. As this air moves up and away from the ocean surface, it leaves is less air near the surface. So basically as the warm air rises, it causes an area of lower air pressure below.

Air from surrounding areas with higher air pressure pushes into the low-pressure area. Then this new “cool” air becomes warm and moist and rises, too. And the cycle continues.

As the storm system rotates faster and faster, an eye forms in the center. It is very calm and clear in the eye, with very low air pressure. Higher pressure air from above flows down into the eye.

Categories of the Cyclone

As we learn above how cyclones formed. Now lets we discuss the categories of the cyclone. Scientist Categories cyclone in 5 categories. Cyclones are divided into categories depending on the strength of the winds produced. There are many different classification scales but one you may be familiar with is the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale.

When the winds in the rotating storm reach 39 mph (63 kmph), the storm is called a “tropical storm”.

And when the wind speeds reach 74 mph (119 kmph), the storm is officially a “tropical cyclone” or hurricane. Tropical cyclones usually weaken when they hit land because they are no longer being “fed” by the energy from the warm ocean waters.

However, they often move far inland, dumping many centimeters of rain and causing lots of wind damage before they die out completely.

India faced the first cyclone of 2021. It is formed in the Arabian sea named Tauktae. Tauktae is the fifth category cyclone. Tauktae cyclone generates wind speed is more than 150 KMPH and waves in sea are 20 to 25 feet.

What is the impact of the Tauktae Cyclone?

Initially Classified as extremely severe the cyclone made landfall in Gujarat state late on Monday with wind speeds of up 160 km/h. About 200,000 people were evacuated across several states as the cyclone approached bringing with it heavy rains and gusty winds.

The storm has hit the region amid a devastating second wave of Covid-19 that has overwhelmed Indian hospitals.

More than 200,000 people in low-lying areas were moved to shelters, sparking fears of possible new coronavirus clusters in the coming weeks. And the federal government has also ordered the vaccine drive to be halted in several coastal towns believed to be at risk.

The storm is also adding to the challenge facing India’s hospitals. Mumbai moved 580 Covid positive patients from dedicated centers to civic hospitals as a precaution.
