COVID-19 Lockdown Updates:- Central government again extended lockdown till 31st May after seen a continuously sharp increase in coronavirus cases. India confirmed cases tally reached 90000 after reporting 4987 new coronavirus positive cases today.

But the main positive news from India is the recovery rate also increased continuously. Total recovered person tally reach 34000 after reporting 3956 recovered cases today.

According to the fresh guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs the movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 7 PM to 7 AM, except for essential activities.

Schools, colleges, other educational institutes, hotels, restaurants, and metro rail services will remain prohibited. Whereas, inter-state movement of passenger vehicles and buses will be allowed with mutual consent of the states and Union Territories involved.

Earlier, the state governments of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu extended the lockdown till 31 May to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. The government of Karnataka extended the lockdown for 2 days till 19 May.

The MHA guidelines also mention that all those above 65 years of age, people with co-morbidities, pregnant women, and children below the age of 10 years are to stay at home, except for essential and health purposes.

The government has said these movements will continue to be governed by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that was announced earlier.
