She is the daughter of the Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Alia Bhatt was educated at the Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai. She also holds British citizenship.
After taking his first leading role in 2012 with Karan Johar film “Student of the year”. Alia makes a super-confident debut. The Student of the year grossed Rs. 960 million (US$ 13 million) at the box office.
Alia Bhatt established herself in Bollywood with her three film releases of 2014. She is very stylish, classy and good in outfit collections.
She established her self as an actress in 2016. In her first three releases in 2016, Ali played the supporting part of a lively young girl with a buried past in Kapoor & sons, a drama about a dysfunctional family starring Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. The film proved to be a critical and commercial success. Shen then took on the part of a poverty-stricken Bihari migrant in the Indian state of Punjab in Udta Punjab, a crime drama about substance abuse from the director. The intense role marked a significant departure from the mostly light-hearted parts she had previously played, and in preparation, she watched documentaries on drug abuse and learned to speak a Bihari dialect.
In 2019, Bhatt launched her own production company named Eternal Sunshine Productions. Her first film appearance that year was opposite Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar Gully Boy a musical inspired by the life of the street rappers. She also attended acting workshops to learn a ghetto dialect to enable her to improvise on set.
The film premiered at the 69th berlin International Film Festival. Writing for screen International lee marshall opined that its Bhatt sharp performance that carries most successfully the mix of wry humor, romance and social comment that Gully Boy essays”. With global earnings of over ₹2.37 billion (US$33 million), the film emerged as Bhatt’s highest-grossing release. Gully Boy won a record 13 Filmfare Awards, and Bhatt was awarded her career’s third Best Actress trophy.
She never looks back after Gully Boy releases and plays leading roles in all films. They set the motivation path for all new actress, if they working hard then success will come very soon in front of his gate and push the doorbell any time.
